Lots and lots of it.

If that was like a grand, It would be rad to drop a Hellcat motor into.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:05 |

Nah, that shit’ll buff out.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:05 |

Literally all of the tetanus.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:11 |

I already have all the tetanus, I can’t get any more. A Rusty Slammington-esque drift missile Merc would be pretty cool, if this was like $500.

I could be wrong, but I believe you can get any part for any Mercedes made after WW2 form Mercedes Benz Classic, meaning this thing is technically restorable with real Mercedes parts. I can’t imagine how much that would cost though.

Kicked out of your house?

Damn!
Crusty is worth at least $4000 if I use that as a barometer!
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:17 |

what you mean, is...............that will flake off ..........
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:19 |

I remember reading that the driver side hydraulic window switch is $10k alone!
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:20 |

i was going to ask if some one famous died in it.......... but i realized that it was someones’ will to go on that died.
nice price.......

I think if you even went near that thing with a power tool it would dissolve into a pile of finely powdered iron oxide
![]() 06/29/2016 at 00:36 |
|
you can almost see it returning back to the earth, as the wind blows through the body......
it would be fun for a low stress build though, where you were no longer worried about damaging any valuable sheet metal. could start grafting on new metal with pop rivets, or sewing it in with wire stitching..(welding would be too easy(and you cant weld rust))

$7900 plus one reciprocating saw gets you one unique planter.

I should learn to do bodywork. And hydraulics. And electrical. Maybe then I won’t cringe every time I see things like this.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 01:06 |

But for $6,900?
![]() 06/29/2016 at 01:09 |
|
that “character” is something that you just cant put a price on....... it’d take decades to get one even remotely that “unique” $6900.00 is um........the price of admission.?

It’s true, once you need something from the classic center its $$$. I looked into a steering wheel for a Ponton and it was a couple grand.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 01:10 |
|
I dunno... Then again, I don't have $8k sitting around in the first place.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 01:10 |

Those things are so expensive to restore you can actually find a decent one in need of repairs for a fair price.
![]() 06/29/2016 at 01:11 |
|
Might be expensive; however, I think it’s awesome that they still offer OEM parts for everything.

Porsche does too, you can send a Porsche or Merc back to the factory for a complete refresh. Porsche does it a lot, they have a shop with apprentices.

Oh and Nissan still makes a bunch of stuff for my Datsun, comes with a official Nissan sticker on the bag.

I like when an automaker supports all their old models.

me either, but its fun to spend money you dont have, and talk about building cars that you will never touch........
its fun to say what things are worth, and if we all agree things are worth THAT, then they BECOME worth THAT.......... consider it the “porsche effect”.
